West Fargo Company Lays Off Workers, Closing Doors
A West Fargo company is closing and laying off 91 employees.
Trinity Containers will start sending notices to its employees starting June 10th.
The company manufactures products for the energy industry.
In a statement, the company says “the reduction is primarily driven by current market conditions and the need to align production with existing facilities.”
West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern says he will be reaching out to the company.
“It’s sad. They’ve been around a long time but before that it was DMI, which built many, many wind towers. You got to feel bad for those 91 workers that are going to be laid off,” says West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern.
Trinity Containers plans to permanently close its plant by August.
