Community Rallies Behind Woman Battling Breast Cancer
A woman facing the fight of her life is reminded she has a community rallying behind her.
Theresa Eyestone was diagnosed with breast cancer back in July, and she’s since gone through eight rounds of chemotherapy.
Theresa has had to miss many days of work and still faces large medical bills, so her co-workers decided to help, hosting a benefit to help offset some of the costs.
“Me and my wife we’ve both been through cancer ourselves and we know what it means to get support from your friends and family and she’s such a lovely lady she did some working going on through chemo and even though she was in pain she still had a smile on her face,” says benefit coordinator, John Milligan.
Milligan expects to see close to 400 people walk through the doors.
Lend-A-Hand will match up to $5,000 in donations.
