Moorhead’s Annual Crime Report: Crime on the Rise

Moorhead’s crime report reveals crime is up in just about every category.

In the past year the city has seen a nine percent increase in serious crimes including rape and assault.

They’ve also seen a 16% increase in property crimes like burglaries and thefts.

Calls for service are also on the rise, receiving almost 4,000 more calls in the past year.

“You know it’s an ongoing thing we have to find ways to always be insuring were providing high levels of service and that were addressing and communicating the status of how the battle is going,” says Lt. Tory Jacobson of the Moorhead Police Department.
