“Smash & Grab” Break-In at Fargo Pharmacy
A smash and grab at a Fargo pharmacy overnight.
Police are trying to figure out who did the smashing, and what did they grab.
They don’t know what, if anything, was taken, but police say it’s a safe bet money wasn’t the target.
Someone broke through the front door of the Medicine Shoppe at 2800 North Broadway in Fargo shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say in video of the area, the suspect appears to be male, and was in and out of the pharmacy in less than a minute.
They add that there’s evidence that the thief got into prescription drugs.
But cops aren’t sure which drugs may have been targeted.
“In most cases it’s hard to say what their motivation was, whether it’s some sort of prescription medication they can use themselves, or sell,” says Fargo Deputy Police Chief Joe Anderson.
Police are hoping to get surveillance video from the pharmacy to review soon.
Pharmacy employees tell us they’re taking an inventory to see what exactly was taken during the break-in.
