West Fargo Celebrates Groundbreaking of Brooks Harbor Elementary

West Fargo Public Schools is celebrating the groundbreaking of its newest elementary school.

The district held a groundbreaking ceremony at the future site of what will soon be Brooks Harbor Elementary near 22nd Avenue West and Sheyenne Street.

It will be the district’s 13th elementary school and house up to 540 students.

The project was made possible by voters who passed a $98 million school bond back in November.

“The community has a very very supportive K-12 education, and when you have growth like we have you have to have a place for the children, and I think that people are coming to our school district and our community because they know it’s a great place to live and that we have great schools,” said West Fargo School Superintendent, Dr. David Flowers.

The project is scheduled to be completed by fall of 2017.
