Man Accused in Fatal Beating of Moorhead Man Pleads Guilty
A man accused of beating a Moorhead man to death in October has now pleaded guilty.
In a plea deal, 21-year-old Anthony Rodriguez pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter.
He was initially charged with murder.
In court, Rodriguez says he confronted 55-year-old Bradley Carrington for molesting his younger brother.
He admits to punching Carrington in the face four times and leaving him unconscious in a chair.
He faces between 10 and 15 years in prison.
“It does look or was a manslaughter case and that was the best result that we would get out of it,” says Clay County attorney Brian Melton.
Rodriguez’s sentencing is set for June 8th.
