Pokemon Go Takes Over The Zoo
If you’re on the hunt for more Pokemon, you may want to stop by the Red River Zoo.
Pokemon Go players of all ages filled the zoo searching for Pokemon at eight Pokestops.
Zoo workers came up with the idea after being fans of the game themselves.
They hope the event sparks even more interest in one of the best cold climate zoo’s in North America.
“We have red pandas, Palestine cats, so anything that brings people out here to see these animals and understand the challenges they face in their native environments it’s a good thing,” says Guest Services Manager, Jeremiah Gard.
For many people, it was their first time ever going to the Red River Valley Zoo.
The zoo hopes to plan even more Pokémon Go events in the coming weeks.
