SEND Theater Company Presents Tom Sawyer

With budget cuts across the state, many art programs are being slashed.

But that’s not the case in Barney.
 
Thanks to the town of Barney, SEND theater uses the 100-year-old VFW building for its performances.

This week, the theater company is presenting Tom Sawyer.

Twenty-four cast members make up the show, ranging in ages from eight all the way to 80 years old.

“The 24 people in this show have grown just because of coming together, they don’t know each other. We have people from all over the south eastern corner of North Dakota,” says Director, Jean Hoerer.
 
Theater goers can enjoy popcorn and homemade desserts in addition to the show.

The final performance is tomorrow afternoon. The VFW doors will open at 2 pm.
