Fargo Police Officer Takes Time to Read to Kids
A local police officer spent part of her day giving back to kids at a coffee shop.
Officer Christie Jacobsen is reading to kids at Red River Coffee Company about life as a police officer.
She also took some time to talk to little girls who aspire to work in law enforcement.
Officer Jacobsen says that seeing young people, especially little girls, wanting to go into law enforcement is a sign she is doing her job right.
“We’re thrilled to have young people interest in law enforcement,” Officer Jacobsen said. “It means we’re doing the right thing, and it means that they still think that we’re out there to help them, and they wanna help other people.”
Red River Coffee hosts a story time event every Monday at 12:30 pm.
