Parents Who Lost Children Organize Remembrance Walk
The Compassionate friends of Fargo–Moorhead are getting ready for the tenth annual “A Walk to Remember”.
The support group is a national organization for parents who have lost their children.
The local chapter will begin their walk at 10:30 Saturday morning at Oak Grove Park.
There will be a balloon release and an opportunity to lay down flowers in memory of your loved ones.
There is no fee, but they do ask that you bring a pot luck item everyone can enjoy after the walk.
“Hope, there’s always hope. Even though you lost your child there’s hope to get better. People don’t think they’re gonna come out of this and grant it we never forget our children, we don’t want to. But it does get softer down the road. You will survive,” says John Milligan of The Compassionate Friends.
The chapter meets every second Thursday of each month at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo.
The group is for all ages.
