12th Avenue North in Fargo Reopens

Twelveth Avenue North in Fargo is reopening ahead of schedule.

When the project is completely finished 2.5 miles of the back roads will be widened.

Drivers will be able to use 45th and 47th Streets North while the rest of the project continues.

The road west of 47th to 57th street North will remain closed until Labor Day.

New features will include street lights, side walks and a roundabout at 57th Street North.

“They’re going to be installing street lights this week, that’ll be done under traffic. They’ll be off to the side of the road, it shouldn’t be a problem. But just be aware of what’s going on. And it is still detoured so people who have to continue West into west Fargo look at the detour signs and follow the detours,” Jeremy Gorden, Fargo City Transportation Engineer.

The construction of the rest of the project will continue into the fall.
