Man Injured in Grand Forks Hit and Run

The Grand Forks Police Department is investigating a hit and run that happened at a major intersection early Friday.

Police say that 22-year-old Grand Forks resident Chase Bryant was struck while driving his 2008 Chevrolet Aveo.

The incident occurred at about 3:30 when a car going northbound on South Washington Street ran a red light on Demers Avenue and struck Bryant on the driver’s side.

“At this point, we are looking for the suspect vehicle, a white passenger car. There should be concernable damage to the front end of the car as well as likely some red paint transfer,” said Lt. Bill Macki of the Grand Forks Police Department.

The vehicle also has new North Dakota plates and the first three numbers of the license plate are believed to be 200.

Bryant was taken to Altru Hospital after the crash, there is no update to his condition at this time.
