Celebrating Three Years of Junkyard Beer

Moorhead’s preeminent brewery is celebrating a milestone.

Junkyard Brewing is celebrating its third birthday this weekend with music and new beer releases.

Co-Owner Aaron Juhnke says he started the brewery with the idea of distributing to bars and restaurants.

Instead, they keep their brews in house for a small but dedicated fan base.

Juhnke says he thanks customers for helping the brewery grow.

Thanks to them, the brewery is in the process of a major expansion.

“We just totally outgrew what we thought would be a big enough brewing system for the type of business we had imagined. We just totally ended up outgrowing that in a short period of time,” says Juhnke.
 
Birthday events run through Sunday at the brewery.
