NDSU Bison Facing Monster Team In Iowa Hawkeyes

NDSU football is set for another big game, as the Bison prepare to visit Iowa.

This is not going to be an easy road trip for NDSU.

The Iowa Hawkeyes…to put it mildly…are very good.

Like the Bison, Iowa is 2–0 on the year, but they’ve done it in a much different fashion than NDSU has.

The Hawkeyes have downed Miami of Ohio and Iowa State on their young year.

In their first game against Miami, they scored 45 points in a 45–21, then two days ago in one of the biggest games on their schedule, the Hawks absolutely dismantled Iowa State by a 42–3 margin.

They like to ground and pound and run the ball a ton.

But don’t let that fool you.

They’ve got weapons in the passing game too.

As NDSU coach Chris Klieman says, Iowa’s got weapons everywhere.

“We have to come up with great gameplans. Our kids have to play great football for us to have an opportunity to compete and be succesful,” said Klieman. “Make no mistake, I think this is the best since I’ve been here in the five years. This is the most complete team that the Bison will face.”

High praise from Coach Klieman, who was a part of the staff when NDSU went on the road and beat Kansas State, so you know he means it when he shows the Hawkeyes respect.

And not shockingly, it is another national TV game.

You can watch it on ESPN.

Kickoff is set for 11 o’clock from Kinnick Stadium, one of the best venues in the Big Ten.
