Casselton Church Supports Family Battling Cancer
Martin’s Lutheran Church in Casselton is raising money for a member of their community battling cancer.
Every year, the church council chooses a different organization or family to donate proceeds to from their annual fall pork dinner.
The council is donating to Kari McLean who stays involved with the church while battling cancer, her husband Tim is a volunteer firefighter.
The community raises money with a craft and bake sale, cake walk, and a home cooked meal.
“I would say that this is a foundation of building comradery for our community in Casselton. That’s small town USA. We always come together to help those in need. We are just one of many churches that do that,” says Pastor Michael Jacobson, Martin’s Lutheran Church
If you would like to support the McLean family, Martin’s Lutheran Church will continue to take donations.
