Newman Center Proposes $21.5 Million Expansion

St. Paul’s Catholic Newman Center announced plans to expand its campus on the corner of 12th Avenue North and University Drive.

The expansion would cost an estimated $21.5 million and increase the size of the complex to 70,000 square feet.

The new structure will take up an entire block.

Officials say the expansion is to help accommodate the growing student population of NDSU.

When the current structure was first built in 1958, NDSU had only 3,250 students.
