Missing Toddler Found in South Fargo

Fargo Police say parents could face neglect charges after a toddler went missing around 8am.

Investigators say the three-year-old boy was found by a neighbor in the 2600 block of 57th Avenue South around 9am after wandering two blocks away from his home.

The neighbor then called police who then reunited the child with his family later in the morning.

They say the toddler was not properly dressed for the weather, and cannot confirm if the parents knew their child was missing.

“You as a parent have to take precautions to prevent a child from being able to manipulate a door handle,” said Deputy Chief Joe Anderson of the Fargo Police Department.

The case is being sent to the states attorney for possible charges.
