Tip-A-Cop Sponsors Minnesota Special Olympics

The Moorhead Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Office raised over $600  for Special Olympics Minnesota at the second “Tip–A–Cop” event of the year.

Officers helped bus tables and greeted people as they came in, in exchange for a tip.

One hundred percent of the tip goes to Special Olympics Minnesota.

They previously partnered with Applebee’s and the Fargo Police Department in September.

“You know, any donation really makes a difference because like I said we have 8100 athletes, all the money stays local, we can just support each other and support our athletes and help them have great opportunities throughout the state,” said Nicole Reno with the Moorhead Police Department.

A third fundraiser is in the works.
