You’re Never Too Young To Vote
Who says you’re too young to vote?
Third, fourth and fifth graders voted during a mock Presidential election.
Eagles Elementary School students have been learning about the election process for the past several weeks and have been researching the candidates.
They set up a mock polling location, which included a registration table, ballots and a voting booth.
They even got a “My Vote Counts” sticker.
Students from other classrooms were able to come to the polling location every 20 minutes.
“To learn about the election at such a young age gives them the opportunity to watch it in the future, see the changing of history and hopefully in the future get out and vote because every vote counts,” says fifth grade teacher, Kathy Schot.
Their homework for the night is to watch the nation’s election results.
