UND Aims to Take Advantage of BU’s Youth, Inexperience

BU Freshman account for 56 goals, 135 points this season.

FARGO, N.D. — The University of North Dakota is two days away from its West regional game against second-seeded Boston University. UND is making its 15th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Many of the Terriers’ stars are making their first appearance on this type of stage. BU’s freshmen have scored 56 of 117 goals this season, and the Terriers are even led by a freshman in net. Jake Ottinjer has a .927 save percentage in 33 starts.

The Fighting Hawks are hoping to raise Ottinjer’s goals against average as the freshman makes his first NCAA tournament appearance. Friday’s game is set for 2 p.m. at Scheels Arena in Fargo. The game will also be televised on ESPN 2.
