D.C. police say a woman drove her car into a capitol police cruiser and attempted to run over officers nearby

WASHINGTON D.C. — Rep. Kevin Cramer found himself in the middle of a shooting on Capitol Hill.

The Congressman tweeted video of the scene early this morning.

D.C. police say a woman drove her car into a capitol police cruiser and attempted to run over officers nearby.

They say she then began smashing into random vehicles on the street and capitol police began firing warning shots at the suspect.

The woman was arrested and no one was hurt.

Authorities say it is not an act of terrorism.
