GRAND FORKS, N.D. (UND Athletics) Accolades for UND’s pitcher Kaylin VanDomelen keep rolling in, as the redshirt junior has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s 2017 Division I All-Region Midwest Second Team, the NFCA announced Thursday.

VanDomelen ended the 2017 regular season as the Big Sky Conference leader in earned-run average (1.79), strikeouts (162) and opponent-batting average (.217). Her total ERA of 1.84 for the 2017 campaign is the lowest ERA in the program’s Division I era and the third-best mark all-time at UND. She also owns the two best marks for most strikeouts in a single season in the team’s DI era, with 166 this season and 151 in 2016.
