Cobber Athletics Hosts Finn/Carol Grinaker Golf Scramble

The Meadows Golf Course in Moorhead hosted the event.

MOORHEAD, Minn. — Concordia College hosted the 32nd annual Finn/Carol Grinaker golf scramble at The Meadows golf course. It’s a big opportunity for the athletic department to draw in money as donors and fans can golf with coaches and student-athletes.

It’s the first official event for the Cobbers’ new Athletic Director, Jeff Bretherton.

“It’s clear this golf tournament has been around for over 30 years now,” Bretherton said. “It’s really critical to the functioning of our athletic department to be out here seeing our donors with our student-athletes helping out as much as they possibly can.”

Bretherton and others enjoyed the weather and just what the event means for the program.

“It’s just a great day to remind our alums and to remind our fans of Concordia College how important they are to the long-term goals and success of our athletic department,” Bretherton stated.
