Sanford Health Has a Month Full of Events to Help Fundraise Money for Childhood Cancer During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
FARGO, ND — September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Sanford Health is joining in the fight by offering sweet treats.
The hospital teamed up with Fantasies in Frosting and is hosting “Cupcakes for a Cure” at the Roger Maris Cancer Center and Sanford Children’s Hospital.
It also kicks off their “Brave Kids, Bold Cures” campaign this month to show support for local children and families who are fighting childhood cancers.
By purchasing a cupcake, you’re not only helping in the fight against cancer, but helping support programs for for future patients.
“Twenty five percent of the sales of the cupcakes go towards this program today,” said Beth Ambrosio of Sanford. “It goes towards equipment for the pediatric oncology unit, it goes towards clinical trials and to help with programs for the patients and families.”
The next fundraiser will be “Go Gold” which will be hosted by the Fargo Moorhead Roller Derby Girls on September 16th.
