NDSU Football Healing up with Playoff Bye Week
NDSU will play the winner of Northern Arizona or San Diego.
FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota State is the number two overall seed heading into the FCS playoffs.
That means a few things.
First, the Bison have a bye through the first round this weekend. Second, they would host all the way up until Frisco, Texas if they keep winning.
On December 2nd, the herd will face either San Diego or Northern Arizona. But this week is all about getting healed up after a long regular season. Head coach Chris Klieman says they are taking it easy the next couple days, then Thursday and Friday players will be off for the holidays.
Although a first-round bye seemed certain for the herd, the two-seed was a little up in the air. Klieman says he’s not surprised by it though.
“I really wasn’t surprised. I know there was debate on two or three,” Klieman said. “I thought if we took care of business with our convincing win over South Dakota the week before and if we took care of business, I thought we would be the two-seed.”
North Dakota State took down San Diego in the second round last season and could face the Toreros again.
