WEST FARGO, ND — The West Fargo Fire Department is warning the community about a recent phone scam in the area.

The department says people have been receiving a call from someone posing as a member of the fire department.

The caller has been using their name and asking for donations.

The department says neither they nor the West Fargo Police Department are involved in any phone–based fundraising efforts.
