Bison Softball Prepares for Summit League Opener

NDSU Summit League opener set for this weekend with Omaha.

FARGO, N.D. (NDSU Athletics) — North Dakota State (20-12, 0-0 SL) is scheduled to play its three-game Summit League softball series at Omaha (13-24, 1-5 SL). The teams will play a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, and 1 p.m. single-game Friday, April 6 at Westside Field at Westbrook.

The series was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8, at the Ellig Sports Complex in Fargo. The single-game between NDSU and North Dakota scheduled for Tuesday, April 10 has been postponed with a makeup date to be determined.

This will be the 61st meeting between North Dakota State and Omaha, who were both members of the North Central Conference. The Mavericks lead the series 38-22 including taking 2 of 3 in the three-game series at Omaha last season.
