Making Connections Through the NDSU Career Fair

This year there will be over 350 employers and there is expected to be around 2,000 students in attendance

FARGO, N.D.–The semi–annual career expo is back at NDSU Tuesday and Wednesday, and they are looking forward to another successful turnout.

This year there will be over 350 employers and there is expected to be around 2,000 students in attendance.

Not only does the career fair connect students with potential employers, it can lead to networking and relationship building.

Smita Garg, Assistant Director of  Employer Engagement at NDSU, says employers notice when students are actively seeking information about a company.

“I have heard from employers that they actually remember students who come year after year and actually ask them questions about the company”, Says Garg.  “Because at the end of the day it’s not about the job it’s about that relationship building and making those connections.”

Garg encourages all students to attend the career fair even if you’re not graduating, and these connections can last a lifetime.
