UND Men’s Basketball Makes Playoff Push in Final Four Games

The Fighting Hawks play their next game on Saturday against Oral Roberts

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The first year in the Summit League for North Dakota men’s basketball hasn’t been filled with too many high points, but UND is still optimistic in its hunt to be one of the eight teams to make the conference tournament.

The Fighting Hawks are just 3-9 in league play with only four games left in the regular season. They have seen each of these next four opponents already this year and believe they have what it takes to finish off the season strong.

“You can control your own destiny,” Head Coach Brian Jones said. “I know its as simple as that. We got two at home, two on the road and all four of them we played well against at times and we showed we can compete with them. So we can only control what we can control, and that is our urgency, our effort, our preparation, being dialed into that, and I think that is what we really focus on.”
