Sandy’s Donuts Plans to Keep Ownership in the Family

Jeff Ostlund, son of the current owner, is planning to one day take ownership

WEST FARGO, N.D.– Sandy’s Donuts is keeping its ownership within the family by making plans to add a third generation to the mix.

Jeff Ostlund, son of current owner Mark and grandson of original owner Sandy, is training to be the next owner of the donut shop chain.

Jeff just graduated with a business management degree from NDSU.

Sandy’s has a picture of young Jeff in its office with the saying “our future owner” below it.

Mark says he doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon but is training Jeff to take over one day.

“I’m looking forward to seeing where he takes it,” Sandy’s Donuts owner Mark Ostlund said. “If it stays a local Fargo shop, then that’s great. I want it to run well and be loved.”

Jeff will begin a full-time workload at Sandy’s next week.

His father is planning to make him part of the management team.
