Man Arrested After Fleeing Fargo Police and Crashing Through Airport Fences

Police got a license plate on the vehicle and through further investigation, tracked down Kevin Cruschielski.

FARGO, N.D (KFGO) – A man is in custody facing a number of charges after driving thru security fences, the runway and tarmac at Fargo’s Hector International Airport.

Police attempted a traffic stop on North Broadway around 3:45 a.m. Sunday but the driver fled, clocked at 100 mph. The officer did not pursue. Sargent Matt Ystebo says the driver smashed through the east fence, crossed airport property, and exited through the fence on the west side of the airport. The damage was not discovered until around 8 a.m. Sunday.

Police did get a license plate on the vehicle and through further investigation, tracked down Kevin Cruschielski, 27, of West Fargo, at a local hotel early Monday. The vehicle had been stolen.

Cruschielski was charged with fleeing and aggravated reckless driving, two counts of criminal trespass, aggravated reckless endangerment and possession of a a stolen vehicle.
