Police investigating shooting at Moorhead apartment complex

MOORHEAD, Minn. – A witness says three people drove off after a shooting at a Moorhead apartment complex.

It happened around noon Wednesday on the 1300 block of 19 1/2 Street South.

She says she say a car pull in the parking lot behind another when two men and a woman started shouting. They started fighting, guns were taken out and they exchanged shots. Gunfire continued while both cars drove off in different directions. The witness says five to six shots were fired, but no one was hit.

<“Just coming out here now, I’m still freaked out. I don’t want to be out here. We’ve got kids all over here and to have that happen around here is very scary,” Teresa Cossette, who called 911, said.

Investigators are still attempting to confirm the description of the suspects and their vehicles.
