Twelve women & a business honored at YWCA Cass Clay Women of the Year Awards

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – It’s a night showcasing and empowering women at the 48th annual Women of the Year Awards hosted by the YWCA Cass Clay.

There are 39 women and Edward Jones Investments nominated in 13 categories.

Winners include Agnes Harrington with Share House with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Holly Erickson with West Fargo Public Schools in the education category and Laetitia Hellerud with Ubuntu Consulting in the advocating for equality category. Hellerud is a four-time refugee since fleeing her home country of Burundi at age five. She is a Cultural Consultant working for an inclusive community.

“Thank you to all my sisters in this fight towards equality and inclusion and many of you here deserve this award and we heard the lineup. Truly everyone,” Hellerud said.

Money from online ticket sales, donations and an online auction are going to the YWCA shelter.

The auction ends at noon Wednesday. Click here to bid.
