Moorhead Municipal Pool Opens June 9th

The facility will be open seven days a week during normal business hours.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — After being closed all last summer, Moorhead’s Municipal Pool is back in business.

The pool is opening on June 9th with full capacity. The facility will be open seven days a week during normal business hours. Last summer the pool had to close due to covid. Moorhead Parks and Recreation have announced pool passes are on sale now.

They are 40 dollars for an individual pass and 90 dollars for a family pass. Seasonal passes give access to open and lap swim hours.

Moorhead’s Recreation Program Supervisor Melissa Discher says people missed going to the pool last year.

“I think it’s great for the community to have this pool in Moorhead. We get a lot of people that come swimming in our pool and they’re there with us every day, so I think having that void was tough for a lot of kids and families and it’s also great for the staff that has worked with us for many years. Last summer, some of them went and worked at other pools,” Discher said.
