Ludvig Persson Wins NCHS Goalie of the Week For Second Straight Week

The Fighting Hawks Have Found Their Netminder

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — North Dakota Hockey split their weekend series with Minnesota over the weekend and have moved up from No. 5 to No. 4 in the latest USA Today and the USCHO national rankings. The Fighting Hawks are now 3-1 on the season so far and their new netminder, Ludvig Persson has been a major contributor to the team’s early success. The Swedish goalie faced 53 shots this weekend and was able to save 49 of them for a .925 save percentage against the nation’s number one ranked team. Persson has a .937 save percentage and has allowed 1.51 goals against average to lead the NCHC thus far.
