MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — We are learning new details about a Red River Valley SWAT team arrest in Hawley that prompted a soft lockdown at area schools.

Moorhead Police say 39-year-old Brandon Loock of Hawley was taken into custody on Wednesday without incident.

He was wanted for trying to get into a home in the 1600 block of 2nd Avenue South on Halloween.

They say Loock showed a handgun when people in the home would not let him in.

Police say Loock and the victim are known to each other.

He is in the Clay County Jail for felony assault with a weapon and restraining order violations.
