Fatal head-on crash with combine in Egeland

EGELAND, N.D. (KVRR) — A Mississippi man is dead after a head-on crash with a combine.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Highway 66 in Egeland.

39-year-old Benjamin Shearer from Stewart, Mississippi was driving a van when he hit part of the combine’s header.

The driver of the combine, 72-year-old Lawrence Weber of Devils Lake, was not hurt.
