City of Fargo Looks for Public Opinion on Proposed Improvements to Main Avenue

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The city of Fargo is looking for public input regarding additional proposed improvements to Main Avenue.

The project consists of reconstructing Main Avenue from 25th Street to University Drive.

Replacing curb ramps, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, lighting, and traffic signals.

Sidewalk widening will also be completed on the south side of Main Avenue between 23rd and 25th Street.

Just a few years ago, Main Avenue was reconstructed in downtown Fargo.

“Probably the best way to boil this down is very similar to the approach that was taken on the downtown main Avenue project for those of you who were familiar with that were going to try to do it a few blocks at a time so that we’re not disrupting businesses for a really long time trying to keep that down to as little disruption as possible”. Says Project Manager Matt Kinsella.

The project is anticipated to be done in 2027.
