Former Fargo Man Charged in January 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol Riot

WASHINGTON (KVRR/KFGO) – A former Fargo man is among the latest to be arrested and charged in the 2021 insurrection at the Capitol.
37-year-old Eric Zeis of Monument, Colorado, faces felony and misdemeanor charges.
He is a 2004 graduate of Fargo South High School.
Zeis and another Colorado man drove to Washington to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally where they and a large group of rioters forced Capitol police to leave their positions to the East Rotunda doors.
The charges say they later made their way to varying parts of the Capitol and joined others in confronting officers who were guarding the House chambers.
In the nearly three years since the insurrection, more than 1,200 people have been charged.
