Police Looking For Suspect After Overnight Assault

Police say a woman was assaulted in the parking ramp in the 200 block of 5th Street North in downtown Fargo

FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – Police say a woman was assaulted in the parking ramp in the 200 block of 5th Street North in downtown Fargo.

A security guard called 911 at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to report that a person physically assaulted the woman in the parking ramp. The victim was taken to a local medical facility to be treated for injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police say the assault was not random, and there is no known threat to the public. Officers have identified a suspect, but the suspect has not yet been located.

No further information can be released due to the ongoing investigation.
