Remembering those that have served with Wreaths Across America

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Out at the Fargo National Cemetery, over 200 people gathered to help lay wreaths on tombstones of veterans. This was part of a national movement, with over 4,200 locations participating.

“It’s very heart-warming to see the amount of people and I’m sure the nice weather this year had a lot to do with it,” said Msgt. Dean McMurray of the Civil Air Patrol. “But we’re just so very grateful that so many people, loved ones, families and everybody else came out to help and take part in this ceremony. It means a lot.”

This is to symbolize and remember those that have fallen, honor those that have served and teaching the next generation. And even though it was a chilly morning at the cemetery, everyone that was there were happy to pitch in and help out.

The group is also asking volunteers to come back in mid-January to help with the cleanup.
