Cougar killed on interstate is headed for taxidermy

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KVRR/FOX 9) — A cougar that was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 394 in Minneapolis may soon go on display in the city.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board says the animal will be taxidermied and they want it to become part of an educational display.
Before it’s death in early December, it had been seen wandering through neighborhoods.
It’s believed the 2-year-old cougar traveled more than 500 miles to Minneapolis from Nebraska, likely in search of a mate.
The park board says it is working to raise funds to help pay for the display.
