Fire heavily damages apartment building in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR-KNOX) – A Grand Forks apartment building was heavily damaged by fire early Friday.

Grand Forks firefighters were called to the blaze at 1111 22nd Ave. S.  at around 3:10 a.m.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a four-plex.

No one was injured, but three residents were displaced. One pet was also displaced. The Red Cross is providing assistance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
