GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR-KNOX) – A judge has accepted a plea agreement from a Warren, Minn. man charged in the 2022 murder of his wife.

According to the agreement, Anders Odegaard will plead guilty to second-degree murder without intent while committing a felony.

In exchange, the state will dismiss a separate count of second-degree murder and Odegaard will be sentenced to more than 18 years in prison.

In August 2022, deputies found 31-year-old Carissa Odegaard unresponsive in her Warren home with severe head trauma after a domestic argument.

Authorities said two of the couple’s children saw the attack, but fled and were not harmed.

Sentencing is set for Jan. 29.
