‘We’re about 90% complete’: Moving Into New Moorhead High School Almost Done

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Excitement is in the air as crews continue the moving process into the new Moorhead High School. They are days away from having students flood the area, so they are racing against the clock to get it all set up.

Rarely you see a move happen during the winter break, so it has been a tall task to get this process done. And Steve Moore, who is overseeing the project, doesn’t recommend moving schools during winter break.

“Yeah it’s been a flurry of activity,” said Moore. “Last week we had the last day of school but during that week we had tours for the teachers and tours for the kids and the students. People started bringing their items over and this week we’re in the process of moving. We’re about 90% complete and we’ll be done prior to the start of class on January 4.”

Moore says they will start Phase II of construction soon, which is slated to be done in 2025.
