PEDER HAUGO WINS NORTH DAKOTA GATORADE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
FARGO NORTH STAR / BISON COMMIT NAMED GATORADE FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
FARGO, N.D. — Fargo North senior Peder Haugo was announced as North Dakota’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year Wednesday afternoon. Haugo played both ways for the Spartans and helped lead North to the 2A State Championship victory. Fargo North’s power running back rushed 1,512 yards and 26 touchdowns for a school record and ran for 3,418 yards and 60 touchdowns on his career which is also a school record. On defense, Haugo played linebacker and tallied 128 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss, six interceptions, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. He is committed to play football for North Dakota State.
