Voting begins for MnDOT’s fourth annual Name a Snowplow contest
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has opened the voting to name the next eight snowplows in their fleet. After 8,000 submissions in December, the names were whittled down to 50 finalists.
“I think we are going to find some great new winners. This year there are clearly some trends. Taylor Swift related names were really popular this year. So were things associated with Barbie. So we got a few of those options on the list.” said Anne Meyer of MnDOT.
Some of the names include Blizzard Wizard, Flake it Off, Taylor Drift and Storm Rider.
Voting will remain open through January 28.
