24th Annual Cares for Kids Radiothon begins
FARGO, N.D., (KVRR)- The two-day annual Cares for Kids Radiothon benefiting Sanford children’s hospital is underway.
Sanford Children’s Hospital is partnering with Fargo radio stations Froggy 99.9, Y94, and KFGO to help raise money for children in need of treatment, and Sanford is very thankful for the help.
Hillery Mork, Lead Development Officer at Sanford Health Foundation, said, “I just want to thank the community for their continuous support of Sanford Children’s hospital, and if you have time in your day, we’d love to hear from you and call in at 478-5437”
Last year, the radiothon set a record of 160,000 dollars in donations, and this year, their goal is to beat that record.
Mork also said, “Well we always like to beat last year’s totals. We’re hoping to have a record year this year so. We’re doing well and we hope that we have some more listeners that are calling in and making a donation to help support the kids at Sanford Children’s”
The radiothon helps raise money to help over 13 thousand kids, one of them is Teddy Danielson, who survived cancer.
Ross Danielson, Father of Teddy and Beneficiary of Sanford Medical, said, “So We’re so happy to do the radiothon to talk about our experiences at Sanford Childrens. Sanford Childrens saved Teddy’s life. They did everything they could have done for him medically and emotionally, the things they would do like bring his favorite toys to the hospital room”
The radiothon ends tomorrow. You can donate on the Sanford Health website.
