Thousands of Little Bear’s Full of Honey Donated to Great Plains Food Bank
FARGO, N.D., (KVRR)- Great Plains Food Bank receives a donation of six thousands bottles of honey. Sioux Honey Co-op out of Sioux City, Iowa delivered thousands of small bear shaped bottles of their Sue Bee honey to the food bank.
Honey does not expire, so these donations will be able to be enjoyed without worry of spoiling before reaching the intended people.
The co-op wanted to give back to North Dakota, which is the country’s top honey producer. Daniel Bauer, a director at Sioux Bee Honey, said, “Sometimes close to half of the honey that Sioux Honey gets throughout the United States comes from North Dakota because it is the number one honey producer in the country.”
Around 500 boxes of honey bottles came in and will be distributed throughout the region.
