Joe Fraser Launches U.S. Senate Bid With Stops in Duluth And Moorhead

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KQDS/KFGO) — Republican Joe Fraser has jumped into the race for U.S. Senate in Minnesota and hopes to take on Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar in the fall.
He is on a statewide media tour including a stop this morning in Duluth and tonight in Moorhead at 6 p.m. in front of the Clay County Courthouse.
Fraser is a retired navy commander who lives in Minnetrista and now works in the banking industry in the Twin Cities.
He points to the “crises at our borders,” historic national debt, and unsafe streets as reasons he is running.
“We need to do our part to secure the border. I think we need an Ellis Island for the 21st century. We need to have infrastructure in place that allows immigrants who are seeking a better way of life to be able to come here,” said Fraser.
Entering the race only about nine months before the election, Fraser will likely have a tough battle because of Klobuchar’s consistently high poll numbers.
